Case Dropped in Rockville Over Local Option Charge
In Rockville police court State's Attorney Dawson announced the case against Harry Carlisle of near Dickerson Montgomery county for possessing intoxicating liquor with intent to sell would be dropped for lack of evidence. Gas Tank Blast Injures Dozens In Chicago
A massive gas tank, 60 feet by 100 feet, exploded at 25th and Throop in Chicago injuring more than 20 workers, setting fires to homes, and causing many residents nearby to be overcome by smoke. Firefighters controlled the blaze within minutes and many injured were taken to hospitals. The tank, owned by Peoples Gas Light and Coke Co, had an undetermined cause.

Funeral Tuesday for Roger W. Cull Baltimore reformer and lawyer
Roger W. Cull died yesterday in Baltimore after a lingering illness. The funeral will be held Tuesday with private services in Baltimore and interment in Frederick County. He married Evelyn White of Adamstown and is survived by several relatives including daughters Mabel Cull and Mrs Caldwell Hume and Dr Severn Teackle Cull. Cull, known for political reform and love of arts, helped build Baltimore oil interests and pipelines. He taught classics, declined political office, and supported Weller for governor in 1908 and Harrington in primaries. His health declined after a 1921 automobile accident death of his daughter Chas P. E. Peugnet.
