Preservation drive for Appalachian Singlefoot horses
Dr. J G Betts, a retired veterinarian, leads a breed preservation effort for the Appalachian Singlefoot. At a Propst home clinic drawing Maryland and nearby states, Betts outlines gait, breeding rules, and a 100-point scoring system, noting 300+ registered horses with 160 active and a mare valued at about 30000 dollars after a 95-point appraisal.
