Elks Convention Activities and Events Noted
The Maryland Delaware and District of Columbia Elks announce a four day convention in Frederick from August 1 to 17 featuring the Hanover Elks Chorus, a hair styling demonstration by Mamie Scott, a Fort Detrick tour, golf and bowling tournaments, a grand ball, and a picnic. Also noted are political and legal discussions including H.R. 3 on federal state power and watershed projects in Maryland. Public annuity updates for widows and widowers of pre 1948 federal employees are provided.
