District Optimists Meet Here First Quarter Board
The First Quarter Board Meeting of Optimist District was held with headquarters at the Francis Scott Key Hotel on Friday and the Peter Pan Inn at Urbana on Saturday. Over 200 members registered for training forums led by Lester F Wapner and Nicholas Mueller, with sessions for governors, officers, and club leaders. A luncheon, a welcome from State Senator John Derr, and speaker Mr Smith urged youth work and community leadership as the group reconvened for business and installation of district officials.
