Further Conservation Practices Are Urged In Maryland
Maryland farmers are urged by State PMA Chairman Joseph H Blandford to expand conservation under the ACP. Government payments can exceed the 65 cent per acre minimum, with credits of 1 to 3 dollars for lime and fertilizer purchases and additional credits for practices like permanent pasture, strip cropping, drainage and cover crops.
