Boston July 18 The British steamer Florence bound for St John’s from Sidney wrecked in dense fog 20 miles south of Cup Race after a collision with the Scandinavian. A Central Pacific wreck near Reno Nevada yesterday on the Twenty-five Mile Bill killed six of fifteen Indians aboard the blind baggage and injured many more. Engine and cars were tossed by debris from a probable spread of the rails. Fireman Robins and engineer Irwin were hurt with varying injuries. Mail clerk O'Brien and express messenger Durle survived with cuts and bruises as wreckage scattered coaches and Pullmans. The disaster was attributed to a rail spread.
