At Eckhart mines near Frostavre Missouri a brake chain failed causing a loaded coal hopper to race down the track and strike laborers repairing the road. John Moore died instantly. John Kelly and Philip Repham were seriously injured. Repham’s condition may prove fatal. Kelly is expected to survive.
