Vong educators tour county as part of national program
Nearly 200 vocational agriculture educators from across the nation visited Frederick County for a SOEP workshop in Washington. At Walkersville High School they viewed student projects and discussed increasing use of computers in ag education. County officials highlighted Maryland’s largest vocational ag program with about 700 students and 13 teachers, noting strong FFA activity and a landscaping business earning over 10,000 yearly. The group also planned to meet with President Reagan at the White House.
