Crop Bonanza Promises Big U.S. Harvests Amid War Time Demand
Rainy seasons boost crops yet threaten floods in limited areas. Kansas leads with about 150 million bushels of wheat, while total U.S. wheat may rise by 10 percent, adding over a billion bushels. Cotton area rises over last year, corn harvest should exceed last year by 200 million bushels, and soybeans near last year’s record. Strong crops support defense needs as America projects supply stability against Moscow expansion.
