Frederick High School Class of 1929 70th reunion
The Frederick High School Class of 1929 held its 70th reunion July 17 at Dun Dee Country Inn. Twelve graduates and 20 guests attended. Invocation by Harry Kemp recalled deceased classmates and absentees. Jacob Engelbrecht reported on a Frederick Community College Scholarship Fund now worth $15,249, with six scholarships upcoming. Floral arrangement by Forget-Me-Not-Florist won by a daughter of Edna Boone and passed to her mother. A first-basket prize went to Karla Goodridge. a gift certificate honored Annabelle E Troxell for years of service as secretary. Attending graduates included Ruth Cronise Akers, Edna Ricketts Boone, Engelbrecht, Austin Foland, Helen Witter Hawker, Harry Chemp, Edward Mantz, G. Maynard Summers, Lews Compher Thomas, Annabelle E Troxell, and Douglas Zimmerman.

Albaugh descendants hold annual family reunion
Descendants of Guy and Grace Hamm Albaugh gathered for their yearly reunion on July 18 at a home gathering in Frederick area. Attendees included many named relatives from towns such as Rocky Springs Jefferson Smithsburg Lusby St. Leonard Huntingtown Walkersville and Danville with extended family from Rockville Bailey Beach and Prince Frederick among others.
