Frederick cyclist injured in Shookstown Road crash
Frederick man Ronald Keith Byrd, 20, was seriously hurt Tuesday when hit by a car while biking on Shookstown Road. He suffered a broken collarbone and cuts, was stabilized at Frederick Memorial Hospital, and authorities say the driver, Jean F. Walker, Frederick, is charged with failure to control speed to avoid a collision.

Frederick man jailed 19 years for drug charges
David L. Bowens, 32, of Lincoln Apartments, was sentenced to 15 years for attempted drug distribution and four years consecutive for possession with intent to distribute PCP. Judge Dwyer noted Bowens’s drug habit since 1985 and Bowens apologized for his addiction.

Vietnamese man slain in apparent gang related attack
Montgomery County police say 22 year old An Ngoc Nguyen of Silver Spring was murdered in a gang related dispute. Five men were charged with murder and gun crimes after a car chase near his apartment and a subsequent stop on Hollow Glen Road. Rockville man found dead in car likely overdose
Harvey Alvin Scali, 55, of New Mark Esplanade in New Mark Commons, was found in a car in the community swimming pool parking lot at about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
