Alexander Courtney Shapes Little Murders on Olney Stage
In Olney Theatre's Little Murders, Alfred actor Alexander Courtney brings intense commitment to a role and a theory of theatre as a public cultural center. He cites Meisner and Strasberg training, aims to create a private fourth wall, and stresses risk and realism. He praises director James D. Waring and Newton Katselas, and notes audiences and society influence the art form while voicing concern that violence may threaten theatre.
