A 52 year old man, Stanley Oliver Bostian, without a fixed address, was jailed ten days after being found guilty of panrancy by Magistrate Stanley Y. Bennett. Police Chief Charles V. Main testified he saw Bostian near the Francis Scott Key Hotel with rolled trousers and no shoes seeking a bank to exchange Confederate money for Union money. Bostian said he slept on the grass outside the city and hoped to exchange Confederate currency due to high living costs.
