Larry Carry vice president of the Pullman Co said conductors on the Pullman system would strike at 6 p m on Wednesday August 7 affecting about 2790 workers nationwide. The action follows wage dispute notes from H W Fraser ORC leader and notes that arbitration under the Railway Labor Act failed to settle the wage row.

Small Airplane Sinks In Deep Creek Lake
Oakland Maryland July 23 a single engine plane ferrying from Riverdale Maryland to Dayton Ohio crashed into Deep Creek Lake near Oakland and sank. Conviction Of Two Rapists Affirmed
Maryland Court of Appeals upheld the convictions of Roy M. Peters and William D. Denby both 23 of Denby town for raping a 28 year old WAC on a lonely Watford County road last January.
