Planners Back 73 Acre Middletown Annexation Plan
Middletown planners favor annexing 73 acres to allow Valley Land Investors to build up to 90 houses west of town along U.S. 40 Alternate if approved by the town council. County options could yield about 50 homes, but without town water and sewer services. Officials warn annexation may curb curb appeal controls but improve growth with a shared sewer plant, while one commissioner opposed citing risk of uncontrolled west-edge development.
