Bullet announced the July 18 decision, noting MCMP’s 12-year, 6.80 member dairy cooperative operates in one southeastern state and explored long range merger options since the 1980 annual meeting. The board cited Dairymen’s marketing strength and financial heft as the best alternative for the cooperative’s farmer-members.
