Two More Thefts Reported In City
The City reports multiple thefts over five days. A portable electric typewriter was stolen from the County Planning and Zoning Office between 5 p.m. yesterday and 8:30 a.m. today. About $2 was taken from Margaret's Florist Shop on West Patrick street after a rear screen door was cut. Early Monday, about $100 vanished from three amusement machines at Burns' Restaurant on South Jefferson street, with two machines and a jukebox damaged. Late Thursday into Friday, Modern Pharmacy on South Market street and Cozy Corner Restaurant on West All Saints and Ice streets were broken into. narcotics were taken from the pharmacy and about $60 in change from the restaurant jukebox. Detectives say they do not believe the same suspects committed all the thefts.

Man Charged In Salisbury Rapes

Myersville Boy Bitten By Snake

Arrest Youth Following City Chase
An 18 year old Frederick motorist William A. White of Lee Place is charged with multiple motor vehicle violations after a pursuit through the western part of the city. Officers Tracey and Dietz spotted the sports car on Bentz Street and chased it west to Rosemont Avenue, where it was stopped.

All 56 aboard escaped uninjured after an Eastern Air Lines DC7 from Atlanta crash landed at Charlotte Municipal Airport.
