ROUKVILLE AP Jurors began selecting a jury for the first degree murder trial of Garrett Eldred Wilson 43 accused of smothering his 5 1 2 month old son nearly 12 years ago to collect 100 in insurance money Opening statements were expected today after a pool of 120 prospects was questioned by Montgomery County Circuit Judge Ann Harrington The 1994 confession by the mother Mary Anastasi and later medical examiner rulings shaped the case with SIDS theories and a shift to smothering as the likely cause of death continuing to influence the proceedings.
