Fire destroys hay and damages dairy barn in Hyattstown blaze
A fire at a 180 foot barn near Hyattstown caused about 90 000 dollars in damage and 60 tons of hay burnt while a dairy shed escaped damage. Winston Burdette and Harold Hackey alerted fire crews who battled the blaze through the night with help from crews from nearby towns. The barn walls and roof were saved but the interior was gutted and insurance covered some losses.
