Truman Confirms Uncertainty Over Ike Run For President
President Truman said he is as mystified as anyone about whether General Dwight D. Eisenhower will seek the 1952 presidency. He has not discussed politics with Ike since 1949 and will defer to Ike on any decision once Ike shares it. Truman rejected McCarthy's charge as silly and noted Spain policy shifts and flood relief funding while commenting on Douglas and federal judgeships.
