Frederick holds first conference on affordable housing at Hood College
The Frederick County Conference on Affordable Housing will be Sept 15 at Hood College Marx Center from 9 am to 3 pm. Keynote Dr. Jacqueline H. Rogers, Maryland DHCD secretary, will speak at 9:30 am. Registration is limited to 55. Local officials seek to raise awareness of housing gaps for both low and middle income families. A 1989 study noted about 11 000 Frederick County households lacked affordable housing. Multiple organizations back the event.
