Quaker youths reclaim 1830s burial ground near Monrovia
Eight teenagers from the Baltimore Yearly Meeting Teen Adventure Camp hiked to a Quaker cemetery near Monrovia clearing 50 headstones and overgrowth over three days. Leaders Cynthia Harden and Paul Wollaston, with eight teens from Maryland and beyond, slept at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren. Historic markers and Welsh settlement roots emerge as volunteers vow future cleanup and a return trip along the Appalachian Trail to Westminster.
