The Maryland Court of Appeals grants reargument for the Potomac Edison Co case brought by Dr. James T. Johnson of Cumberland seeking $100,000 in damages after a July 19 1978 rear end collision in Frederick. Fire Destroyed Chevrolet Touring After Weenie Roast
An automobile in a party returning from a weenie roast caught fire on a road near Ceresville after hitting an uneven spot, damaging the battery and engulfing the car. Five occupants including John Moore escaped with brief help from others as the blaze consumed the Chevrolet touring. The wreck remained on the roadside for hours while authorities responded.

Mooresville, July 11. Lieut. P L B, a famed World War I ace, was killed when his plane crashed at night near Langley Field Virginia while on duty. Comrades named him among official WWI aces, noting five German planes he downed but not officially credited. In Canton, Ohio, July 18, a Diack bag identical to one stolen from two Mist National Bank messengers vanished in a holdup during which a bandit was killed and a bank messenger critically wounded.
