Burkittsville asks DOT for traffic study on Md 17
Burkittsville residents urged the Maryland Department of Transportation to study traffic on Md 17 as large trucks and speeding threaten historic homes. Brunswick Great River Race set for July 26 at Potomac
Brunswick plans a day by the water with the Great River Race on July 26. Registration runs 10 a.m. to noon, boat judging noon to five, and races start at the C&O canal boat ramp on the Potomac River. Prizes for homemade boats, contests for riverbank spectators, entry fees 1 dollar for kayaks and tubes and 5 dollars for other boats. Spectators free. Canoe and kayak rentals available.
