Frederick United Appeal Parade Plans Coordinate With Local Parades
The city officials and Red Cross plan to coordinate the United Appeal parade with Fire Prevention Week and the Halloween parade to avoid competition for marching units and public interest. Mayor Ramsburg will lead, with Police Chief Main as grand marshal, inviting county officials to ride along. No new purchase of materials or funding for participation. Floats from other parades may be reused as trial runs, and the event is set for an evening weekday, around six.
