Gas explosion could have been avoided in Perryville tragedy
Fire officials say a single 911 call could have prevented the Perryville gas explosion that killed one woman and injured 35. A leaking propane tank behind a sub shop exploded, causing about 10 million dollars in damage. Authorities urge immediate evacuation and 911 reporting for any gas odor, noting frequent public safety responsiveness by Frederick County agencies and utilities.
