City police to get 4% pay hike under 1984 contract
Frederick city police officers win a four percent raise under a one year contract approved by the board of Aldermen. The pact, retroactive to July 1, increases residency allowance from 300 to 325 and allows sick days to be converted to personal leave every six months. A sabbatical program with health insurance only is offered, and uniform cleaning allowance rises to 200 per year. The contract expires June 30, 1985 with about 75 percent of members ratifying.
