County Plans Garbage Disposal Policy And Road Work
County commissioners at a roads board meeting indicated they may adopt a definite policy on establishing garbage disposal sites across the county. They will meet with the Burkittsville Rotary Club delegation at 2:30 PM to inspect a proposed two acre dump on the Howard Huffer road.

Truck Crash After Swerving to Avoid a Dog
A Tuesday afternoon collision in Bartonsville injured Donald Wickman after he swerved his panel truck to avoid a dog and rear–ended a Frederick Junk Co. rig. Wickman, treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital for a right eyebrow injury, was discharged after suturing. No charges issued. Separate wreck at West Patrick Street and Catoctin Avenue caused minor property damage. Ira Weinstein’s car sustained $85 damage, and Graves’ car $25. neither party charged. Also noted: Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Feaga ville reorganized on July 10 with new officers Kenneth Zimmerman president and others named.
