United States vows to veto China entry to UN
In a firm stand, President Eisenhower and Secretary Dulles pledge that Communist China cannot join the United Nations or its organs while it remains aggressive. They warn the UN would lose moral authority if Beijing is admitted with unresolved aggressions in Korea, Tibet, and Indochina. The veto is presented as the best, most effective path to preserve UN integrity. Also reported are campaign expense filings for state races, including Thomas S. Glass and Arthur R. Hoffman.
