A dual water main will be installed, and work on Market Street is expected to finish in three weeks, paving Patrick Street to start soon after. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will meet next week to consider the project.

Two Boys Arrested on Thurmont Break In Charge
Two boys about 12 years old were arrested in Thurmont late Friday for entering a residence recently occupied by new tenants. Deputy Sheriff Sneaks jailed them Friday night about midnight awaiting a hearing before Justice Cadow on Monday. Sheriff Albaugh said no trace has been found for George L Frs, who escaped from jail Thursday night by using a dummy on a cot in his belt to fool the turnkey. Blood oranges were obtained by evatting the sweet orange onto the stem of the pomegranate.

Marie Taylor 25 was held on $1000 bail after assaulting and attempting to drown 3 year old Dorothy Griffith found tied in a bathtub at her husband Owen Griffiths home. The child had been in the tub from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with water rising to her chin. Taylor, Griffiths housekeeper, allegedly tied the child as punishment. She offered no comment in police court.
