MontCo BoE member shaken by family life study on contraceptives
A Montsomers County Board of Education member expressed shock at a Citizens Advisory Committee on Family Life and Thamar Development recommendation to bring pictures of contraceptives into trade classrooms. The proposal, debated by several committee members, aims to present opposing viewpoints while balancing home and medical contexts, with questions about how such material should be reviewed and used in a diverse school community. The committee stressed teaching about various perspectives and the need for timely, accurate materials to foster informed student decisions.
