Federal Judge Rebukes Dry Agent For Small Liquor Cases
In Trenton New Jersey Federal Judge Joseph Bodine grilled Prohibition agents for prosecuting possession of small liquor quantities. Defendants Robert Morris and Riley Lowe both of Atlantic City were fined five dollars each for two bottles and home brew respectively. The judge warned he will not aid enforcement that burdens courts over minor quantities. In Washington January 11 nominations were sent by President Harding including Joseph W Pascoe of Easton Pa as naval officer of customs district No 11 with Philadelphia headquarters.
