Senate approves 90 cent hike to minimum wage

Stone masons near finish on Carroll Creek wall project

Alberto Ogando of Espina Stone works Wednesday morning on the natural stone wall along Carroll Creek at Highland Street. Water quality at Cunningham Falls lake returns to safe levels

Health officials say Cunningham Falls State Park lake water now meets safe standards after tests showed fecal coliform between four and 49 per 100 ml. Frederick County Commissioners propose schooling legislative package

The Frederick County Commissioners presented a year ahead legislative package to the school board on Tuesday. Key items seek General Assembly authority to create special taxing districts and to initiate transfer taxes.
