Rescued nine days after Sampoong collapse in Seoul
Choi Myong-suk a 21 year old shoe seller was pulled alive from the Sampoong Department Store rubble after nine days. He survived on rainwater and a cardboard box while two other survivors died nearby. Rescuers heard a faint voice and used power drills to free him as national TV covered the recovery.
