Montgomery drug raid nets $80,000 cocaine haul
In Montgomery County four people were arrested after police seized one pound of cocaine worth $80,000 during a Tuesday night raid on 13418 Keating Court. James Austin Minks was charged with PCP manufacturing. Miami residents Jorge Morales and Carlos Martin faced possession with intent to distribute cocaine charge. Officers also recovered PCP chemicals, PCP crystals, liquid PCP, TNT, blasting caps, and marijuana found on William E. Mitchell as he left the scene.

ROCKVILLE A man with AIDS and 24 prior convictions was released from jail after a 6th Judicial Circuit judge accepted his plea for a chance at life. William Plummer 43 of Boyds will live with his niece in Gaithersburg and must attend the Whitman Walker Clinic in Washington for medical supervision. He expressed fear of relapse and spoke about his hopes to support his six year old daughter, while prosecutors and defense noted his exemplary jail record and a possible job as a tree surgeon.
