Oken Named to Reactivate Maryland Subversives Law

Fred Oxen a former Army counter intelligence agent is appointed assistant attorney general to reactivate Maryland subversives law. Ken a Baltimore lawyer will maintain files on subversive activity check job applicants and study federal law. A Hawaii Luau hosted by St Barna Nas Luaper youths is set for Saturday at 7 30 p m on chapel grounds with tickets sold by group members.

Snake in Baby Crib Hoax Fools Police

In Tallahassee a caller excitedly claimed a snake was in a baby crib. Officer Henderson found the crib empty except for a cat that had killed a snake and dragged it into the carport where the cat sleeps.

Ward Trial Delayed No Longer Postponed at Old Bailey

London AP reports the Old Bailey refused to delay Dr Stephen Ward's trial on vice charges seeking a fixed July 22 opening date with July 15 previously listed. Ward, an osteopath central to the Profumo scandal, was granted continuation of bail as the case moves forward.
