Sheriff Ingomar Albaugh repairs a tire near midnight returning from Maryland House of Correction with Albert Booth. His revolver slipped from its holster and fired, injuring his left hand with bone fractures and a flesh wound. He was taken to Frederick City Hospital for treatment and removal of steel fragments. Deputy Horace Radcliffe recently suffered a similar non fatal leg wound at the jail.
