Three calmly confident gunmen robbed Cherokee State Bank in St. Paul, taking about 60,000 while holding seven people for 45 minutes. They wore painter outfits and masks, used a panel truck as getaway, and even pockets of small change from victims during the wait for the vault’s time lock. A bank vice president lost 90 dollars to one robber who quipped about banking.
