Old Age vs Youth Across Major League Pitching in 1925
The piece argues veteran pitchers hold the edge in 1925 with Walter Johnson reaching 10 wins in his 19th season and Jack Scott matching him in the National League while players like Bixley Donahue Rommel and Meadows chase nearby. It notes team batting averages over .300 early in the season and credits the lively ball and weaker pitching for the trend, plus a tennis comparison where Vincent Richards defeats Bill Tilden to suggest experience matters across sports.
