Statesmen Not Dress
A report notes Premier Baldwin dresses more carefully than in prior terms, contrasting with Britain’s other premiers. It cites Lloyd George and Asquith as less concerned with attire, while Lord Balfour was dressy and Granville recalled Gladstone in Regent Street. Salisbury favored clothe-ment and Disraeli had moved away from dandyism before becoming premier.

They introduce money, establish schools, towns, roads, and communications, and though numbering about 100,000, they promise renewed prosperity for Arabs and Jews alike.
