Ride A Bike volunteers honored for ARCs fund drive
The Frederick County Ride A Bike event honored volunteers with certificates for participation in this year’s project. Susan Chapman led the top pledge fund with $1,027, while many riders exceeded $100, earning chances toward a video cassette recorder top prize won by Vince Coates. Numerous local businesses and organizations provided refreshments, space, and support across seven routes in Brunswick, Frederick, Sabillasville, Thurmont, Walkersville, and Middletown, with safety and logistics aided by area police and civic groups.
