Harrisburg July 5 The Episcopal church board voted five to four to not sustain conspiracy charges against Bishop Ethelbert Talbot of Central Pennsylvania. The resolution states there are not sufficient grounds to put Talbot on trial. Four board members from the Central diocese and one from New York supported the resolution, while four opposed.
Hazleton Pa July 5 report from a source close to operators says July 17 the opening day of the national miners convention at Indianapolis will mark resumption of operations at one or more collieries near Wilkes Barre with experienced non union workers gathered from Luzerne county mines. Rev J Reinhart a retired Manitowoc clergyman has arranged his burial this month at Evergreen Cemetery. He supervised grave digging in spring and laid a German inscription on a large sandstone with his birth date May 6 1833. After completing preparations he said he would go home to die and has since remained bedridden awaiting fatal end.

Ardmore Pa July 3 Joseph Taylor died nearly five months ago and lay in cold storage at Jefferson Hospital for dissecting purposes as no relatives claimed the body. A brother, learning of the death, arranged a decent burial at Merion Thursday.

Utica July 5 Fifteen people were killed and 29 injured in a head on collision between two electric cars crowded with passengers on the Mountain Lake railroad near Gloversville New York. The crash occurred four miles north of Gloversville as Fourth of July crowds flocked to a popular picnic ground.

Maz Hoppe a cigar maker was found dead in the hallway to his flat with a revolver in his hand after days of drinking and threats to his wife and children. Mrs Hoppe, alarmed, took the children to a neighbor's house and awaited police. The event followed a troubled Fourth of July period.
