River Cabin project gains conditional approval from board
The five year reapproval by the Board of Appeals requires a $50,000 bond and imposes strict flood plain protections for Adams' river cabin development along the Monocacy. Structures must be elevated to 250 feet above sea level, no fill or permanent storage allowed, soil disturbance minimized, runoff slowed, bare soils covered, and no further development between Monocacy Bottom Road and the river. Noncompliance could revoke approval immediately.
