Washington Charter Or Words On World Morality
David Lawrence notes Eisenhower and Churchill present a renewed Anglo American stance aimed at a new Washington Charter. They urge friendship with pledging nations, self-government, UN and regional security, and strength to pursue peaceful aims, while avoiding a status quo that sustains colonial powers. The piece contrasts approaches to Red China and calls for bipartisan foreign policy.
