Negro ministers urged to pray for Republican candidates

Washington July 2 Associated Press reports that ministers in all Negro churches nationwide were asked to offer prayers for the success of the Republican candidates for President and Vice-President. The appeal was issued today by the Negro Ministerial Campaign Committee.

Dies at Steering Wheel of Millionaire's Colony Member

Miss Van Ness of the Morristown area, a member of a reputed millionaire colony at Matton Park West Orange, died while driving in Newark with her fiancé Job Metcalfe. She became faint as she steered into a curb, stopped the car, and collapsed. She was to marry in September.
