Mountain Theater Cast Slips Easily Into New Production
Mountain Theater presents Heaven Can Wait with You Cant Take It With You lineup. Dora Koll as Joe Pendieter drives the souls plot while Barnet Biro shines as Max Levene and Tyler Carpenter as Mr Jordan. A 104 degree fever Greek-chorus pace cannot stop the show as the cast delivers witty high comedy and a Dalmatian steals scenes amid a bus line innovation for summer audiences.

New Park Pool Opens at Mullinix Park
The William R. Diggs pool in Mullinix Park opened at 1 p.m. Wednesday and closed at 8:45 p.m. about 50 colored patrons, aged 14 and up, attended on opening day. Rain hindered turnout, and plans for a one to six o'clock pause before resuming later were discussed. The wading pond remains for younger children, and the main pool reaches 11 feet at the deep end with no diving board yet. Twin 500 watt lights at each end illuminate the area for night use.
