Honda’s late three ads in the final 90 seconds drew praise despite the rout as viewers stayed for commercials. ABC sold average 30 second spots at a record 1 million dollars while Nielsen ratings showed strong overall reach. Second half sponsors, including Quaker State, called the buy efficient and worth the cost despite a decisive game.
