Two Juveniles Charged With Field Fire Near Emmitsburg

Frederick County deputies arrested two Emmitsburg youths aged 12 and 17 after a 10 by 25 foot wooded field behind 17367 N Seton Ave was set on fire. The Emmitsburg Fire Department extinguished the blaze. The youths face charges of negligent setting of fire and destruction of property under 300. Investigating deputies were Gary Morton and Dave Hunter.

City police charge man with attempted murder

Timothy J. James a 28 year old Butler Tennessee man was charged after he fired a round from a .45 caliber handgun toward Edward W Weedon 58 in a Taney Apartments incident on North Bentz Street Frederick. No injuries were reported. Police seized the gun and officer F William Burton investigated the case.
