Frederick men patent new display case design for collectibles
Two Frederick County inventors Charles K Burd of Frederick and William H Reams of Burkittsville designed a patented display case for collectibles. After Burd received an autographed Stan Musial baseball at a trade show, they pursued better-than-plastic cubes and globes, refining several designs until finalizing their patented cast material display case.

Income outpacing spending fuels growth debate in 1994 economy
