Montgomery County hits salt shortage after ice storm
Montgomery County faces a salt and sand shortage after Thursday's ice storm with only four treatments on main roads and emergency routes. County officials warn of ongoing shortage as forecasters predict another storm, delaying side-street clearing and forcing school closures for a sixth day. Power outages were reported across the area as crews scramble for supplies and rental trucks from Baltimore.
